Ben Willis (founder of Wingfield Planning Consultancy) has over 10 years experience in Town and Country Planning. After graduating with a degree and a diploma in Town and Country Planning, Ben started out in the public sector, working in the Development Control team of two large Councils within the East of England, before moving to the private sector in 2007, when he worked for Andrew Martin Associates.
During this time Ben has worked on all aspects of town planning and has experience in a wide range of planning projects including residential, commercial, and heritage planning applications; co-ordinating appeals including preparing written evidence and appearing as expert witness at public inquiry; strategic promotion of sites through the Local Development Framework process; preparation of development briefs; site appraisals and environmental assessments. The variety of work undertaken has enabled Ben to gain significant knowledge of planning law and procedures.
As a sole trader, Ben is able to keep costs to a minimum which allows for competitive rates at a lower charge than many rival companies. Fees are always discussed and agreed with clients before work commences and there are no hidden charges.
